Met BMX-fietsen haalde Jelle van Gorkom een zilveren medaille! Het is best gevaarlijk, er vallen ook veel en voor ons was dat wel een verrassing! Super goed van Jelle!
Onze hockeyvrouwen met coach Alyson Annan rekenden op goud maar het werd zilver. Ze speelden goed en hadden meer kansen dan Groot-Brittannië. Het werd 3-3 en met de shoot-out lukte het niet, dus teleurstelling!
Anouchka Fontijn haalde de finale met boksen, dat is heel knap! Succes!
Bij atletiek haalden onze vrouwen 4×400 m. niet de finale maar ze liepen zo maar een nationaal record. Susan Kuijken liep een snel PR op de 5 km. en ze werd 8e. Goed gedaan!
Churandy Martina heeft gezegd dat hij nog een keer naar de Spelen wil! Wij zijn … blij!

Bio: Maaike & Brecht are two young up and coming coaches from the Netherlands. We first met the girls back in July when they volunteered for our Track & Field project at the European Athletic Championships. We saw hundreds of children over 5 days and Maaike and Brecht were an integral part of the team who delivered running, jumping and throwing sessions to all who took part. We have kept in touch with the girls and hope to have them part of the FCN for many more events in the future.Over the course of the Olympic Games, Maaike and Brecht will be sharing their experience of watching the Games from the comfort of their home in Makkinga (Netherlands) and sharing their excitement of their favourite Olympians from Team Netherlands.
