We started with Australia vs France. Coach Joyce Brendan solidified her teams spot in the playoffs with a 89-71 win over France making them 3-0 for the tournament. Penny Taylor lead the team with 31 points on the game. France put up a fight for most of the quarters, it was just the second that they fell short leaving a gap they couldn’t close. Their fight was lead by Olivia Epoupa with 15 points for the game.
The next game was an exciting one Brazil vs Belarus. Belarus started the game down by 12 at the end of the first quarter and 18 as the second quarter started, they fought back to win the next 3 quarters leading them to a 65-63 victory over Brazil. Tatyana Troina lead Belarus with 18 points she made 5 of 7 3 point shots as she came off the bench into the game to help her team to a victory. Brazil was lead by Damiris Dantas with 23 points for the game.
The last game was Turkey vs Japan. Turkey had a lead the whole game and won this game 76-62. Lara Sanders lead her turkish team with an impressive 36 points. Japan had fairly even scoring across their top players with Ramu Tokashiki scoring 13, Mika Kurihara with 12, Asami Yoshida with 11and Yuka Miyazawa with 10. All these ladies played over 30min this game in a well fought battle.
