The Female Coaching Network is more than just a website. It is a powerful and proactive organisation with one simple aim – to make a difference. We are “The Leading Global Community of Female Coaches Who Support, Drive and Influence Real Change in Sports Diversity.”
As one of the Worlds only independent sports organisations, we are perfectly placed to take a step back and dissect the governance and administration of sport, looking through the marketing messages and analysing how decisions are made by those in charge. We exist to understand how these decisions affect the lives and careers of women who coach. We are now in a unique position within sport, a position unrivalled by others, a position which provides female coaches with a loud voice and position which provides opportunity for change.
We want to achieve gender equality in high performance coaching and be the catalyst for sustainable gender equality growth and retention in sports coaching. It’s going to be a long journey, but step by step, we will make change happen.

Since it’s creation in 2014, the FCN has been driven forward by our founder Vicky Huyton, an experienced coach and sports development professional, with a focus on building an inspirational and supportive platform providing female coaches the opportunity to connect, share and develop in unique ways.
We have worked hard to build a truly global network of women who coach around the World, bring the issue of a lack of women coaches to a number of sports governing bodies and build a unique network of partners and coaches who have a passion for equality and coaching. Having now built a number of key and influential partnerships within sport, the FCN is now moving forward into a new phase of delivering more impactful, bold and unrivalled projects.

The FCN remains a very small team, with very big ambitions – so whilst we may not have the resources to deliver many more large projects, we are always looking for coaches and organisations who can support our aims.
