What is your ultimate coaching ambition?
22nd March 2017
For this weeks #womenswednesday we are doing a little bit of research – we want to know what your ultimate coaching goals are; in honour of a very patient coach – Ans Botha.
Ans Botha is the coach to the current 400m World Record holder and Rio Gold medallist Wayde Van Neikerk. In a recent interview with Spikes Magazine, Wayde said this about his coach:
“I keep on saying that she’s an inspiration herself, she’s been waiting years and years to get an Olympic gold medal and she’s got it at the age of 74 – and the world record.
Who are we to complain that things aren’t coming our way at the right time? She’s been so patient and I think that story speaks for itself and we can learn from that.”
Whether its coaching junior athletes to international success, coach an Olympic Gold medalist or simply to keep your players smiling and having fun in sport – we want to know! Share your own personal ambitions for your coaching career!
Would you wait as long as Ans to realise your goal?
