FCN Founder Joins the England Boxing Workforce Development & Safeguarding Sub Committee as Advisor

The Female Coaching Network (FCN) is proud to announce that founder, Vicky Huyton, has been appointed as an advisor to the England Boxing Workforce Development & Safeguarding Sub-Committee. This exciting new role allows Vicky to contribute her expertise to the ongoing development of England Boxing’s coaching and workforce strategy.

Vicky joins the committee alongside other dedicated members who are working collectively to shape the “Inspirational and Aspirational Competition & Talent Pathway,” ensuring that the workforce and safeguarding departments continue to evolve and improve. Her focus will be on developing clear qualification and CPD pathways, supporting safe working practices, and maintaining high standards for coaching and officiating qualifications. Additionally, she will assist in the recruitment, development, and retention of a diverse and talented workforce, ensuring sustainable financial models and fostering strong community relationships.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the role, Vicky shared:

“One of the things I enjoy most about working in sport is the chance to collaborate across different disciplines—taking what works in one sport and applying it to another. Too often, sports operate in silos, missing valuable opportunities to learn from each other. I’m fortunate to work across multiple sports and countries, seeing first-hand how shared knowledge can drive real progress.”

This appointment underscores Vicky’s passion for coach education and system development, as well as her commitment to driving positive change in the sporting landscape. Her work with England Boxing is a testament to her dedication to improving coach education and ensuring a safe and effective development pathway for all involved in the sport.
