The Life of a Running Coach in the UK

Verity is an experienced and independent running coach having completed her England Athletics Coach in Running Fitness qualification in 2013.  Prior to launching RunVerity in 2014 Verity has 20 years of teaching experience working in a wide variety of settings (Portsmouth Educational Psychology Department, South Downs College & Barton Peveril 6th Form) combined with working for the Military Mental Health Support line as a trained telephone counsellor. This role enabled Verity to receive communication training from The Samaritans which gave her the tools, knowledge and confidence to engage with vulnerable people sensitively and professionally, providing skills that has enabled her to offer resilience and well-being training to others.

Verity has used all her past experiences to develop her very own well established 8-week Beginner’s Running course. The programme is a trusted progressive course specifically designed for beginners and has a proven track record of success. Verity uses a combination of techniques so that not only do you learn how to run efficiently but you also learn the psychological skills needed to succeed and exceed your expectations.

Verity has been a runner for 18 years and has run competitively for a local running club having completed 5 and 10K races, half marathons, 5 full marathons (including London and Paris) and completed 7 races form the Endurance Life Coastal Marathon Series.
