Following the success of the inaugural FCN conference in April 2017 and our recent Coaching and Confidence webinar, the FCN is pleased to announce the launch of its partnership with training provider Sport and Beyond and the delivery of a number of exciting training days – Embedding Confidence in Your Coaching.
We want to see an increase in the number of female coaches at all levels, and coaches have told us, one of the main factors holding them back is confidence. The cornerstone to improving confidence is self-awareness. ‘Before you can be someone you need to know who you are’
Come and take part in one of our inspiring and interactive training days for female coaches, delivered by female coaches.
The day will cover how important confidence is to become a successful coach and help equip attendees with the confidence they need to progress and fulfil their potential. There will be an opportunity to connect with a host of other coaches, from our guest panel to the other coaches involved with the day, as well as members of the FCN and Sport and Beyond.
In the days leading up to the training day, you will be asked to complete a Personal Profile Assessment (recognised by the British Psychological Society) online and details of which will be fed back to you during the training day and a host of theory and practical work will be done to help better understand yourself and the athletes you work with.
Outcomes of the Day:
Please keep an eye on this page for announcements of future dates, or, if you have a group of 20 coaches or more who may be interested in putting on a special event, please email us at email@example.com
“Today I learnt that I was a ‘High Influence’ character, which means I am a people person, love my efforts to be appreciated and my quest for perfection can bring out my persuasive and persistent nature! I throughoughly enjoyed learning in about my personality traits and how I can increase not only my confidence but also that of others simply by understanding what makes us rise to or shy away from the challenge! Such a great day meeting and connecting with fabulous people!”
Marilyn Okoro – GB 800m Athlete and 2 time Olympian
“This conference not only let me understand my confidence and personality, but how I can positively interact with others by understanding their unique character. Going forward I can now apply my deeper understanding to all aspects of my coaching and teaching.”
Emma Harvey – Basketball Coach, Student Teacher & Coach Educator Intern
“I thought it went really well and I got a lot out of the Sport and Beyond assessment and training. It’s always great to be amongst coaches, but especially female coaches. Everyone is open to sharing ideas and it’s reassuring to know we all go through the same things, whether coaching elite athletes at International level or beginners! Being at a FCN event is always a positive experience!”
Anita Broad – Stoolball Coach and Education Officer Stoolball England
“I just wanted to say thank you again for a great training course today. I especially enjoyed the panel and their very insightful stories and I am sure that all the exercises regarding the profiles will come into use as I get more familiar with it all. I feel the the FCN is a fabulous network and one that is very much needed – please keep me on your mailing list!”
