Bantwana coach rues difficult return leg against Nigeria girls (South Africa)

South Africam Women U17 coach Maude Khumalo believes that the 6-0 whitewash of her team by the Nigeria U17 women national team on Saturday has drastically reduced their qualification chances.

The Flamingoes walloped the Bantwana in a first leg 2016 Fifa U17 Women World Cup qualifier held at the main bowl of the Abuja National Stadium at the weekend.

Khumalo confessed that the goals conceded by her team may be too difficult to turn back while disclosing that the match was her team’s first international game and could have been as a result of inexperience.

“This is the girls’ first international match and it is unfortunate that we conceded many goals. So we have to work very hard for the return leg because it is going to be very difficult because of the goals we conceded,” Khumalo told media.
