Vicky HuytonFounder & Coach
Vicky has worked and volunteered in sport for over 20 years at both grassroots and elite level. A dedicated coach to a group of development and international sprinters, she was not only part of her local club, but also chosen to be part of the England Athletics Speed Development Program. In the lead up to London 2012, Vicky was employed as part of a development project based in the North West of England, aimed at creating a legacy for Track & Field coaches post Games. In addition to this, Vicky was an integral part of the first ‘Women’s Coaching Advisory Group’ with UKAthletics and co-founded the ‘UKA Female Coach Legacy Program’ as well as co-delivering a number of conferences and workshops. In 2014, frustrated by a lack of progress and limitations in delivery, Vicky founded the Female Coaching Network to provide sustainable and much needed support for her fellow female coaches around the Globe.
James WalkingtonCoach & Media Officer
An advocate for sports equality, James has been a Track & Field and Strength & Conditioning Coach for a number of years having volunteered at both grassroots and developmental level. He has supported the FCN from day one, helping to shape it's impact on coaches worldwide and support the FCN Founder in her delivery of various projects along the way. In addition to his coaching and advocacy, he has 15 years of successful business ownership experience under his belt and now spends his time on his passion of film making having launched his own videography company. James now takes on the role of FCN Media Officer with his media company ' JRW Media', creating exciting new content for the FCN.
Abi IrozuruFCN Consultant
Abi is currently Great Britains' number one ranked Long Jumper and has her ambitions set on the IAAF World Championships in 2019 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Abi, who graduated from UCL Law School, London has run her own business for a number of years (Amplify Learning) which aims to enhance performance, develop resilience and nurture wellness in all who she supports. Abi has joined the FCN team to support its growth and increase the impact it can have on female coaches around the World.
Tracey ArcherSponsorship Coordinator - Spar International
Tracey is an experienced Sponsorship Coordinator with an established history of working in the retail industry. Managing all accounts with European Athletics top league events for SPAR International. Tracey has been a mentor to the FCN Founder and has supported the network from the beginning.
Louise CapicottoSport Psychologist& Mental Health Practitioner
Louise is a qualified Sport and Exercise Psychologist (registration with the Health and Care Professions Council) with the British Psychological Society (BPS). She is a former athlete, competing internationally in powerlifting, and understands the physical, psychological, emotional, and social demands placed upon student-athletes competing at a high level. Louise is based in Hertfordshire (UK) and is currently working with athletes, coaches, parents, and wider support staff within multiple sports, including football, gymnastics, hockey, athletics, powerlifting, tennis, skateboarding, and motorsport.
Aimée KnightSports Therapist
Aimee is a Graduate Sports Therapist based in the North West of England who is also one of the very few women working in elite men’s football in the UK. Having worked in professional football for over 4 years, Aimee also works with a North – West based Physiotherapy company called Pro-Fit which gives her the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, including ‘gym goers’, professionals, marathon runners, powerlifters and sprinters. Having decided from a young age she wanted to be a Sports Therapist, Aimee now specialises in Sports Massage, Injury Rehabilitation, Postural Re-education, Gait Analysis, Injury Prevention, Stability programmes, Sports and Musculoskeletal Injuries
Chelsea RomeroStrength & Conditioning Coach
Chelsea Romero is a Strength and Conditioning coach based in L.A. She works with a number of college teams and sports including tennis, golf, track and cross-country at the University of Irvine. For the last 3 summers, she has worked for the NFL team L.A. Rams as Intern Strength & Conditioning Coach.
